Special Features: This amazing bustle gown dates to the 1880s but is made in an Elizabeth style. This was not out of the ordinary to have a period costume made in the silhouette of the current period. The waist has a square neckline with a stomacher of ivory silk in heavy gold bullion embroidery. The stomacher hooks to the left side of the bodice. Beneath the stomacher the bodice fastens with lacing up the center front. The stomacher is edged in facetted rhinestones and pearls. The bodice is in a minty green floral silk brocade covered in a gold bullion and bead appliqué lace trimming. Gold lace edges around the neckline and gold rope blade along the lower edge. The silk brocade puff sleeves are slashed with ivory silk beneath. The slashing are edged in gold trim and pearls. The lower sleeves have slashing with self silk puffs standing through. Also trimmed in gold trim. The w cuffs are in ivory silk and adorned in all of the trimmings above including a large amber rhinestone. The left sleeve has an emerald rhinestones. The skirt has an embroidered silk panel down the front with a cotton back upper and a silk lowborn the sides and back panels. The sweeping trained overskirt hooks in front. The skirt is edged in the beaded gold lace braid, rhinestones and gold rope. The silk ribbon skirt wristlet is still attached to the skirt lining. You needed to hike up that train to dance.
