Gorgeous c.1912 Evening gown in ivory silk and lace. The gown has a net chemise with scalloped lace across the top. The blouse is in ivory lace and has a criss cross front bodice and lined in ivory silk chiffon. Long, set in sleeves are shirred down the inner arms with ruffles down the outer seams. Net ruffles at the wrists. Slender skirt falls form the natural waistline seam with a deep hem. Overskirt panel across the back is gathered and tapers to a point at the back hemline. The blouse has a a vest type overpiece that is a flat panel down the sides and back and adorned in embroidery along the back lower edge. The front panels extend into longs sashes that wrap around the body and hook at the center back with a single pleated and embroidered tail.
Condition: There are two small marks on the skirt and a spattering of pin dot stains on the right sash. There is also a pea size hole and several pin holes, also on the right sash, but luckily falls in the draping. A few other minor age imperfections, but nothing awful.
