Gorgeous 1940s evening gown in black silk taffeta with insets of black floral lace. The gown has a square cut neckline with lace yoke faced in nude silk organza. The lace panel is scalloped along the top and bottom. Midriff is dart fitted and entirely in rows of pin tucks. Full gored skirt falls in gathers from the natural waistline seam. The skirt is made in rows of scalloped edge panels. The top is the pin tuck silk. The second, fourth and sixth are in the lace and the third, fifth and seventh are in plain silk taffeta. Short puff sleeves fall in gathers and end in gathers at an elastic casing finish. Matching sash ties around the waist. The dress is completely lined and has a center back zipper closure.
