Description: Fall 1984 evening gown by Scaasi, a striking example of the designer’s signature theatrical glamour and sculptural eveningwear. This dramatic one-shoulder design juxtaposes texture and volume with precision. The bodice is tightly ruched in black silk, wrapping the torso in diagonal folds that contour the body and create a sense of movement and tension. A bold, architectural shoulder detail in electric blue silk erupts from the neckline, adding asymmetry and couture-level presence. The silhouette drops into a voluminous skirt in matching cobalt silk, cut with fullness and structure that holds its shape in a soft, bell-like form.
