In an article dated March 1, 1972 from the New York Times....

Though Mr. Scaasi, a relatkelly young man, has had his custom salon for only nine years—before that he made ready‐to‐wear clothes on Seventh Avenue—he's aware of the winds of change.

Not that he's going out of the custom business. Not at all. At least not now, when the kooky phase of fashion Is evaporating and women are taking an interest in dressing up, especially at night.

But like custom designers all over the world, he's planning to go into ready‐towear. Not back to Seventh Avenue. This time his clothes will be produced in Paris by Maria Moutet.

He says they can be made better and at less cost there. Hell make the muslin patterns here and will supervise the fittings there. By the time they return to stores here next winter, the dresses will cost from $150 to $450, but he plans to sell them to stores in Italy, Germany and all over Europe as well. All over the world, in fact.
