Description: An extraordinary Spring/Summer 1985 Emanuel Ungaro haute couture runway piece in sumptuous purple jacquard silk. The dress features an ingeniously constructed overlapping front with snap closures and subtle pleats that release into voluminous fullness at the bust, creating dramatic silhouette contrast. The body tapers elegantly through the hips, anchored by a striking wide pleated lime green polka dot hip sash and a commanding glass ornament on the left front.
