Fall 1989 Moschino Couture! acetate and rayon blazer inspired by the Ace of Hearts playing card. The tailored black blazer features vivid red epaulettes and turned-back cuffs, accented by two dimensional red heart buttons at the front. The back is the standout detail, designed as an oversized Ace of Hearts card with an ivory panel, red A’s and hearts, and a large heart at the center, finished with Moschino Couture branding and the phrase “IN LOVE WE TRUST.” A wonderfully playful example of Franco Moschino’s signature trompe l’oeil approach and irreverent take on classic tailoring.
