Spring 2025 Moschino Couture! presents this extraordinary trompe-l’œil construction: a strapless bustier that is, in fact, an upside-down tailored blazer. The garment completely reimagines the traditional architecture of a suit jacket, rotating its proportions and intended function to create a surreal evening silhouette. The former blazer body becomes a sculpted, fitted bodice, with the original button closure now running vertically down the front. Below the waist, the jacket’s sleeves are redirected into an exaggerated, draped overskirt, hanging freely from the body and creating dramatic volume and movement around the hips and legs. The resulting silhouette plays with the familiar language of menswear—tailoring, buttons, lapels and sleeves—while transforming it into something decidedly theatrical and unexpected.
